Think they did a better job with the dub?

more acurately, Disney Acquired Miramax and now releases anything they can't or don;t want to on the disney label under it.

And I actualy thought the Mononoke hime dub was descent. although not as good as some of their later dubs admittedly, and I had to get used to their slight mispronounciation of certain japanese words like Giichan. (or rather it had too much of an american accent... probably shouldve just used grandfather instead ;p)

I liked the Mononoke and Spirited Away dubs better than the subs. In Mononoke, the original Japanese voice actress just sounded too typical, high-pitched anime chick. Claire Danes made her sound more like a wild wolf-girl IMO

I can't watch Spirited Away's dub. Having seen Lilo & Stitch, I couldn't keep thinking "this is Lilo...", when I heard Daveigh Chase's voice. Plus, I prefer Rumi Hiiragi's (the japanese voice actress) performance better.

On the other hand, having heard a bit of My Neighbor Totoro's dub today (I bought the DVD), I don't have a problem with Dakota Fanning the "other Lilo" as Satsuki. Plus, her younger sister Elle does a pretty good job and sounds really cute. And I love this movie. The only disappointment was that they dubbed/re-did the OP song in english for the english version. What I don't understand is they did a french dub, but not a french version of the OP song.
