My Daily Ranting : Anime = Fad?

I'm kinda fluent in n00b. Here's what I gathered from it:

He thinks that people who think anime is a fad, is a fad, and the fad of people thinking that anime is a fad will die out. But anime itself won't die out because it isn't a fad.(If you just figured out what I said, congratulations!)

Timelessblur got inot anime for a sad reason, but now he's totally into it.

He also said that the reason Japan got into making anime was because after WWII it was cheaper than making action movies.

Timelessblur also commented on how this comment cannot truly be trusted since he's only in his Junior year of Highschool.

. . . Now for my opinion on this.

After WWII the US said something along the lines of "You cannot have a military force" so all the money that Japan invested in war stuff got invested in making anime. Thus, anime was born. This probably had something to do with anime being cheaper than action films, though.

And as for what got me started in anime. . . Escaflowne.

I had only seen whatever was aired on Cartoon Network for the longest time, and had no idea they came from Japan, and just thought they were really cool cartoons(espiecially Ronin Warriors ^.^) and then someone told me the meaning of anime and all that. And one day, I was browsing through channels on a saturday(or sunday) morning, trying to find a cartoon to watch. And there it was: The english dub of Escaflowne. It was awesome. It was great. A person died. There were cute guys. I loved Escaflowne. And then they took it off the air after I saw that one episode. But they didn't get the best of me!! I TAPED IT!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

. . . . . And then that's when 50% of my income went to anime DVDs.

Ummm.... I dont know how you got out of my post that I was a jr in high school (read the word after that which said that was 3 years ago. So do that math. that mean I left highscool over a year ago which out put me in my seacon year of collage. And I went back and look up that info on anime to check my facts. Japan got into making anime after WWII because of the fact that making live action movie cost a shit load more. On top of that Japan at the time was pretty broke have to rebuild 2 cities plus the lost of the war. The US put emborgos on them and what not and we could keep them from building up a miltary for a while.
