Hmm, I dunno, used to watch transformers, watch Chinese subbed VHS' round friends house. I must've been about 9? Some I liked, some I didn't. I would never call it 'getting into anime'. I like some series, I disliked and hated others. I watched CN, DBZ and etc came on, it was just the same as everything else on the channel really, except with an obviously different country of origion and different styles and animation. By then I had already downloaded most of Eva, and was unimpressed after all the hype it got. Enjoyed GW, disliked Love Hina, (loved the manga). Like I said, I never 'got into' it as such. Just another medium for TV.

I've actually been watching anime since I was a kid, and I never realized it. Samurai Pizza Cats was one of my favourite shows to watch whenever I came home from school.
Though, what really triggered me to the world of anime was, in fact, Dragon Ball Z. I am not ashamed by that too, because I still love DBZ. I'd always go on the Internet to look stuff up about DBZ, and it just so happens that I'd always come across other anime titles as I did so, like Tenchi. Now, my anime collection is growing steadily, with recent additions to it such as Saber Marionette J Collection: Volume 1, and the Akira two-disc special edition. What can I say, I have become addicted to Animé.

I think the earliest anime i can remember seeing was Sumarui Pizza Cats. Things like that though didnt get me hooked onto anime, but there was just something different about them that attracted you compared to other cartoons.
Anyway i guess Dragonball Z is what got me hooked onto anime in general I know now DBZ is pretty basic, or even lame compared to the full range of anime, but you have to understand that i think it's these kind of shows that introduces many people into the world of anime, where otherwise they wouldnt have given it a second thought.
By no means do i think i know everything about anime, but i now have the curiosity/passion to search for what anime is out there, and experience it all!

I watched anime since I was a little kid. My first was when I was five and it was Speed Racer. I liked it but it just didn't do it. It wasn't until Toonami started showing Robotech that I actually got into anime. Then it was Akira and Eva after Robotech was taken off. I probably will never forgive them. I have been stuck since.

I watched more than that but I realize I still have alot ahead of me. I've also watched Tenchi, Trigun, FLCL, Azumanga Daioh, Cowboy Bebop, Transformers, Gundam, Zoids, Ghost In The Shell and sadly DBZ.Wykith wrote:Are you saying that's ALL you've watched? I only put those few down because they are what got me into anime.
