Suncoast and Sam Goody are sorta partners (at least at the mall I go to), so I imagine they would play the price game with you.
Suncoast puts anime in its own section with wallspace and a few racks (dvds on racks, vhs on wall). Very convienent.
Anime is generally put in the porn section because they want to make sure someone doesn't mistake it for cartoons directed at small children. Its easier to put it in the 18+ section and have inconvienence for otaku (who will generally swallow what pride they have and go over and buy the stuff anyway) than it is to have it in somewhere small children have access to rent the Samurai X (I know its Rurouni Kenshin, but thats the dvd title) Oav and have parents going off on you later.
And for anyone who might be wondering where the porn reputation from anime came from, well, what do you think made up the bulk of the early anime localization?
