Nominations for Worst Anime Fanbase

To be perfectly honest...

The Melancoly of Haruhi whatever teh hell it's called fans drive me crazy. Hell, even look here. It doesn't help that I don't like anyone here who obsesses over this stupid as hell show either, but now I really don't like them.

They obese like this is the MOST CLEVER ANIME EVER MADE. Wow, stupid whorish crazy obnoxious main character with a bunch of freaks as her classmates and she tormets a dude. WOAH. THAT'S SUPER ORIGINAL. Man, I checked it out too, hoping that it would live up to the hype. I got so bored in episode 1, I only watched the rest few episodes on nights I couldn't sleep (so maybe I could).

What I hate most about them, is, if you say you don't like it, they go off. Get over it, it sucks. My opinion.

Sounds like you just don't like the series in general. Doen't seem like the fans have much to do with that.

How can you expect fans of a show not to "go off" when you express your distaste for a show so loudly and without reason (other than it's "unoriginal"). Why are you so outspoken then if you really just "don't like it"? You apparently can't just go on and state your opinion without borderline flaming the show. You shouldn't expect people to respect your opinion when you can't even bother to tolerate theirs. God forbid you try to be understanding of other people's views or opinions.

To stay on topic, if you don't like the fans of a particular show, stop picking fights with them. People will only "drive you crazy" if you let them. I bet you don't get a bunch of PMs every day with Haruhi fans pestering you as to why you don't like their favorite show. If you stay away from them they'll stay away from you.

Some people have loud distaste over things, so questioning them just makes them more irritable. Maybe he has been pestered or annoyed and that's why he's so pissed now. Don't add fuel to the fire, as he said, just his opinion.

Yea, if you're in 5th grade. "Hey guys, lets imitate a show we see on TV! And here's an even BETTER idea! Lets buy some headbands and junk! Then we'll REALLY be cool...we could get our own little group together and trade pokemon cards and talk about who has cooties and who doesn't!"

Naruto fans at conventions who think wearing a headband along with their normal clothes counts as cosplaying... now that's a crime.

In a public school it's called playing dressup. It's like putting stickers of your favorite cartoon and anime characters all over your binder. No one thinks anything about that when you're 12. Do it when you're 17 and most people are going to consider you immature and weird. Cosplay is fine when its done in at a convention - because that's where it belongs. Wear a white Inuyasha wig and dog ears to class and you'll probably get detention or a very long talk with the guidence counselor. We weren't even allowed to wear hats in class - forget forehead protectors.

Then again, we had "pajama day" and dressup for Halloween when I was in junior high so if you're young enough and the occassion calls for it, I see no harm in wearing your anime accessories to school.
