A: One of the main laws of physics is the Law of Conservation of Mass and Energy. As any Fullmetal Alchemist fan can tell you, this is partially known as the "Law of Equivolent Exchange." The law states that neither matter nor energy may be created nor destroyed, only change. By following the process of E=MC^2, we come to realize that matter may, at the speed of light (C) squared, mass (M) converts into pure energy (E). This is due, in part, to the newly developed theaory that all matter, down to the smallest sub-subatomic partical is, in fact, strands of energy vibrating at intense speeds. Therefore, energy, when grouped together, and thus moving at less than C^2, becomes matter as we know it in quarks, glueons, etc., which then form protons, neutron, and electrons which converged to create atoms and then molecules. However, by accelerating matter to, or rather by having it travel at, C^2 or faster, the forces that join the vibrating strands together and thus allow them to create matter, can no longer perform their duty, and matter breaks down into its most basic form, becoming nothing more than the energy strands that once accumulated to create matter.
Now, as we can see from the above, the Law of Conservation of Mass and Energy is a stable and indisputable Law of Physics, and as any Otaku can tell you, trying to apply physics to anim amounts to, to quote Tommy Lee Jones in Men In Black, "precisely... DICK."
Q: Why does it seem that there is only one absloute in Anime: that the infinitely shorter the show, the infinitely less sense it will make?
