Because while Vampires are both sexy, and come with the inherent ability to make sex slaves at will, The most a werewolf can aspire to be is either cute (like Akira from the manga Crecent Moon), or a cat girl knockoff. (there's always the full-on monster werewolves of course, but what kind of fanbase could they get?)
