lol, Stalker, I think you meant 'Giga Slave' Once that spell is started, your options are:
1. Enemy dies.
2. Everyone dies (incl. enemy).
Both of those kill the other person
If one decides to include comedy peoples, then the samurai lady (name absent at the mo) from Love Hina is pretty damn good. She cuts a block of wood thrown in the air into a seated Buddha figurine before it hits ground at one point. Hiko is also good, and so is Ran from Kazemikase Tsukikage Ran.
Oh, No. 1 strategy for Hiko to win fight: run away and wait. As far as I can see, he doesn't age at all between the flashback parts of the story (when he takes up Kenshin as an apprentice to the very end of the series- whichever ending you take. So he can just wait for everyone else to die

Yea I do remember that part with Shishio saying that, but eh, I wasn't feelin that when watching. He is, as you said, lame.dwchang wrote: Shishio did have him as his "2nd strongest" or whatever to Soujirou. Also Saitoh defeated him (who I think is stronger than Sano). However, it doesnt change the fact that he's lame.

haha, but that wasn't just hiko, Kenshin was the same way. No one wanted to believe he was very near the 30 mark during the Kyoto Saga.Savia wrote: Oh, No. 1 strategy for Hiko to win fight: run away and wait. I don't think there is anything lamer than a man who fights with a tortoise shield and tries to be cooler than Saitoh (and failing miserably)...oh wait I know what's lamer...a man with batwings and Dynamite losing to a 10 year old kid! I think this is pretty well-accepted throughout the show.
*possible spoilers*
Hiko Seijuro... nah. He's the strongest. And coolest. And defeated something as close to an EVA as you're gonna get in Meiji Japan.
Now, you were talking about the characters being in their top condition. However, you also have to remember that "pre-burns" Shishio is not necessarily as strong as he was now. Remember that they said in the show and manga that Shishio's extreme body heat, even if it did limit him, also gave him an increased power, like a locomotive. The hotter he was, the more powerful he became. That explains how he crushed the ground like that. The heat that took his life also helped him, to a degree.
Now, as far as Enishi goes: yes, he did defeat the Ama Kakeru once, but that was because he saw the technique first. Besides, the first time they fought, Kenshin had still not found his answer. So he was nowhere close to full power. Once he did find his answer, he defeated enishi, even with the "Nerves of Insanity". His Ama Kakeru defeated Enishi's attack. So in the end, he proved to be stronger.
Then there's the whole dilemma of Kenshin not having a real sword. Kenshin pulled off his 5 hit combo on shishio, the Kuzu-Ryu-Sen AND the ougi, all of which would have killed him. And he also hit enishi with the kuzu-ryu-sen on the first fight (Though Enishi wasn't serious).
As far as soujiro goes, I have to admit I haven't read that part of the manga, and saw the episodes a looong time ago. I can't really put up a decent argument. Yet I'm pretty sure that if they were both at full strength (Non psycho Soujiro and Kenshin, with his "answer), kenshin would also have been victorious. Besides, enishi is the cooler psycho anyway.
Sheet I'm tired.

Oops! Heh...I see your points, but with Enishi...IIRC he gets right back up after he gets hit with the succession technique. I won't go into spoilers, but the fight never really concluded since well...yeah...anyway.
As for Shishio and that combo attack, at the same token, if Shishio really wanted to fight, right off the bat he'd use that fire attack (or any attack Kenshin hasn't seen for that matter) and killed him. You gotta remember that Kenshin reads his opponents and figures things out, that's the reason Shishio hit him a few times.
Basically the way I see it this is how the fight went down...beginning...Shishio is stronger, Kenshin gets knocked down by Secret Technique #2 Guren Kian or something....he gets up...gets all powered up...beats down Shishio...Shishio gets back-up...Shishio is about ot kill Kenshin...oops he's on fire. Do you at least see where I'm coming from? If you watch the anime (and manga), it's quite clear from Kenshin's facial expression that he can barely block the attack. I wish I could capture the footage and show you. Essentially at THAT potential and Kenshin at his (with the leaves breaking), Shishio could just clobber him.
As for Soujirou...I still go by the...If you can't see him, you can't beat him. Near the beginning when Soujirou isn't as distracted, he uses 2 (or was it 3) steps away from Shuku-Chi and Kenshin can barely see him. If Soujirou used Shuku-Chi right off the bat and wasn't distracted, Kenshin would be dead in less than two seconds. I do see what everyone is saying with "the winner is the stronger one," but I disagree. The winner isn't always the strongest...there are ALWAYS other circumstances. By the same token, do I think Kenshin is the SMARTER fighter? Yes.
As for Hiko Seijirou....I'm glad to see no one disagreeing with me that he is the strongest.

i don't know if we should include video games since skill in games comes mostly from the user, not the character..but i admit that was a common style in street fighter II, plus in the animated movies (street fighter II the animated movie and Street Fighter Alpha the animated movie, ryu had trouble with a lot of people, he wouldn't have beaten bison without ken and ryu didn't stand a chance against AkumaBishounenStalker wrote:Hand-to-Hand -- Sanji from One Piece. A guy who can Riverdance AND beat the crap outta people. That takes talent. (And no, I don't consider Ryu a hand-to-hand fighter. He's a cheap-ass who stands on the other end of the screen and Hadoukens you to death)
all in all i agree that ryu is not the best, but for different reasons
heh heh heh, yea' son, YEEAAHHH!!! The Chinese Connection was sweeeeet, and so were most of bruce's other movies because he (bruce) was never a sell out, he did things the way he wanted and didn't hollywood it upPropyro wrote:SnhKnives wrote:well, is this limited to anime? how about Bruce Lee? lol
