youve met most of the US Cast? wow!.....always wanted to meet Spike Spencer and Amanda Win Lee, just for the novelty really..but yeah, baka is a far better word than idiot, rolls of the tongue so much easier.....plus you can shout it at customers at work and they don't have a clue what you just said. (oh yes, just so were not misunderstood, i do know baka= idiot, just before some twit like NDW comes along and starts bitching)

Oh yeah, did i mention, just started my own fan dub of eva...its gona be so much better!!! More inuendo, more shouting and more swearing...ah cant wait till episode 10...more thought from shinjis perspective..

Well...believe me, I wasn't exactly "pleased" to meet them. Was one of those random things at a smaller con (which usually ONLY has US guests). When you're a "traditionalist/purist/etc." it's not exactly thrilling to meet the people who you think are dubbing the voices horribly. Was even worse when I didn't really know who they were :-P.

IIRC there was one US VA who is pretty cute...Jennifer something...although she's QUITE crazy (in a bad way).

Haha, yeah I was browsing the forum as you were...

Well, I don't know how well that'd go "Oh BTW, did you know you're inaccurately portraying the voices and deceiving people into thinking that's how their supposed to sound? Oh and you suck!" Especially when there are tons of fans with them.

I always found it odd how many fans US VAs got. I mean...they get nearly as many autograph signings as Japanese Guests...namely creators and directors. I don't know about you, but I'd like to THINK a Japanese creator or director who is directly responsible for the show would be a bit more popular, but...they're not...weird....

"Hmm...English VA for Shinji or Director of Cowboy Bebop? I think I'll go meet the English Shinji who can't act or scream and every line sounds like it's force..."

Argh I gotta listen to my own advice and not talk about the dub/sub thing...boo :(

hey just had a wonderous idea, we get several eva fans together, rewrite the script , give each character or two to voice act for, then put it together we could do something like this

WHAT IF SHINJI WAS BRITISH????

Kaworu- (hums ode to joy) The song is good, lifts the soul BLAH BLAH BLAH..dont you think Shinji Ikari?
Shinji- Fucked if i know, i just came out here for a fag...

I noticed, just didn't feel motivated to respond since I was pretty sure you were joking, hence the "wink." :). Also your avatar is too cute to argue with..I have no idea who it is either...perhaps I should do the same thing and get a really cute avatar and then people will feel guilty flaming me...

Most of you will find this post boring...skip it.

Refined? Maybe. Well-versed? Nah...maybe with shows before 1998. I know a lot about the shows I've seen and enjoy. Question about Rurouni Kenshin, Evangelion (to a degree) and Escaflowne will generally have a well-thought reply :). I've seen most of the "musts" within the 1990 decade. It's the "newer" stuff I'm unfamiliar with and yes I know most of it isn't that new (since some is even domestic now).

I've said in previous posts that I've been fairly out of anime in recent years. I was *really* into it as a kid (when I was in Korea) and my first two years in college (1998 - 2000). I saw quite a bit of anime then and became an officer at our local club.

Surprisingly, after becoming an officer, the amount of anime I saw declined. This of course has more to do with schoolwork since I am a Computer Engineer and our coursework isn't exactly that easy (esp. at one of the top five ECE college in the nation...oh I can see someone else coming in and arguing for their school...it ALWAYS happens).

The last thing I saw in it's entirety was Initial D (recently) and before that was :gasp: Cowboy Bebop in I believe 1999. I've had the opportunity to watch a lot more (b/c of club), but well...I chose not to and graduate instead :). Since then there has been numerous good animes that have come out (via either digisub or domestic).

Just off the top of my head, I plan on watching Now and Then, Here and There (bought the boxset purely on three of my friend's reviews and Fluxy's Endure video), X TV (hated the movie), Rah Xephon (bought the boxset without seeing it), FLCL (ducks), Read or Die (ducks again), Ayashi no Ceres (I don't know why I am going to watch this since I generally hate Yu Watase stuff), Angelic Layer (I usually hate Clamp things..wonder why I'm gonna watch this), GTO (saw two episodes...was very funny), Gundam Seed, Wolf's Rain (ducks) and GITS: Stand Alone Complex. I don't think I've even seen the movie Blood :gasp:. I have accumulated QUITE a few digisubs (> 100 discs) that I need to go through and as you can see, I've even purchased anime I haven't seen (aren't I a good consumer? :))

Surprisingly, after joining the work-force at AMD and the real world, I have more free-time than I did in college. Once I finish my newest vid, I plan on "catching-up" on some anime and then start a new vid, finish it, watch more anime, etc....it's a cycle :).

Anyway...that's my "story" or whatnot. Please forgive my ignorance (and lengthy post)...college work and projects kept me away from a hobby...sad that I make music videos and yet don't watch that much anime :).
