I know this statement sounds like an insult, but I think you're right on the mark.

I like dbz for what it does have - enough so that I can overlook the glaring faults. That's what makes me a fan of the anime. I'm the same way with any anime I like - I look at the aspects that apeal to me and ignore the parts that I dislike. If there's more 'positive' than 'negative' for me as a viewer, I like the anime as a whole - flaws included. People like living, but how many people actually like having to go to the bathroom some 5 times a day for EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE. You take the good with the bad. That's true for everything.

Those who only see the bad are just doing the opposite - half empty/half full, pick one. You'll be a fan or a hater. It doesn't reflect on the anime, just the person and what he or she sees in that anime.

I think people care too much whos a fan of what show at one date or another, just because i love db doesnt mean i'm gonna act like another fan and go give someone a wedgie cause they don't like it too.

I think there's this general feeling about db that, it's a mindless useless show, but then again.

America's funniest home video's has run for about 14 years now too so =\
