Anyways, I can't stand Shinji, it was a fine idea at first, but as the series progressed into more and more of its "unique style" it just got a bit too out of hand for me.

HAHA! I can name AT LEAST 3.. Yes... Miaka. Death to her. She wished fer her own happiness instead of the welfare of the people in the Universe of the Four Gods. And she's the PRIESTESS! And another person I want to kill.... is SAKUYA KUMASHIRO!!!!! Oh my god I want to kill that girl. She is from Tenchi in Tokyo. Though I am a HUUUGE T/R fan, that's not the only reason why I hate Sakuya... SHE STALKS TENCHI! And that is scary.. especially that episode where she goes to his house... uninvited... in the middle of the night.... ACH I HATE HER!!!! Hmm... who is someone else I hate? Aha! Kodachi Kuno. Her English laugh... that LAUUUGGGGHHHH!!! I HATTE IT SOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! ok. I'm finished now. ^_^;;

If may do an off the subject kinda post here, may we please stop the arguing.

When I made my post in this thread regarding who I disliked in anime I really wasn't expecting anything to come out of it like this. All I said was that I hated the character Ed and now I see people arguing over things that aren't even relevent to this thread. If I may take this moment I would like to apologize for having inadvertantly started this dispute between the participants in this thread. And going into this thread I figured that everyone would respect everyone else's opinion, cause I know that I have. You know, its like, you hate who you hate and that should be that. This thread was all about people's opinions and its kinda gone outta wack. To leave with this post I would just like to say that opinions are just like assholes, everbody has one...

Are you sure? It seemed to me like episodes 7-10 were the worst of the lot, and the show steadily got better after that (until the ending, of course, which is either the two best or two worst episodes of the show depending on who you ask)

I can't believe I read all the way through this thread and nobody's mentioned Hitomi from Escaflowne. "Death! Pain! Agony!"

I think that's the only show I've ever liked where I pretty much hated every character in it. Okay, the bad guy was kinda cool. But that's it.

I liked Hitomi...she was like Miaka in some ways (thus I understand the hatred), but she MATURED at the end which I liked. I also find it hard to believe you hated like EVERY protagonist in it

. Then again, you're talking to someone who's made two Escaflowne AMVs and dressed up as Vaughn when his (then) girlfriend dressed up as Hitomi.

Another from the 'I-Can't-Believe-They-Haven't-Been-Mentioned-Yet' list:

Quess Paraya from Char's Counterattack.

Anyone who thinks Relena is the worst for her obsession with Heero must have missed this movie. During the course of the film she kills several pilots as well as EF officials (her own father among them) and even charges out in a damaged MS onto a combat field just for the sake of being with Char. This is made even worse since, in her desperate search for a father figure, she fails to realize that Char's playing her like a well-tuned Stradivarius.

Plus, having some of the most annoying dialogue as well as voice actors (in either version) doesn't help it either...

Thank you for reminding me. I F'ing HATED her! I watched the movie recently in preparation for Iron Chef ACen 2003 and I hated every scene with her and it did hurt my feelings for the film. You nailed it with why she is a bad character...it was funny, I was hoping for the entire second half for her to die. And then when she did, I wasn't sad (like I assume I'm supposed to be), I was elated. Oh and didn't she get that kid killed who was trying to help her the entire time?
