the only reason why i started watching eva was because people used to say it was REALLY good and that it was like...one of the best anime series (note i say ONE of the best) they had ever seen. and then i got the first dvd, and it was like...good...but now people seem to hate it. i'm so confused...::sits in a corner depressed::

eh? who said eva isn't good ... eva's great ... one of my favorites. I have the whole series and despritly need to rewatch it ... I tend to like things i don't understand ... eva is one of them ... like it if you like it ... don't like something because somone says it's good ... or vice versa.

awww!!! ::hugs propyro and angelx03:: yay! a second comforting message. for a minute...um...hour or so, i thought eva was wiped off everyone's 'good anime' list. it's true, i don't get a few things in eva, and i had my friend (whos christian) like explain them to me. yay! so eva isn't bad!! just...really really confusing in some parts! phew!! yeah, i've already listened to the opening for rahxephon and hemisphere is a really cool opening song, it's so pretttyyy!!! but zankokou is one of the coolest opening i've heard...my friend was trying to get me to watch rahxephon, maybe i'll give it a shot since everyone here seems to like it a lot...i got so curious about what it was all about after i saw euphoria (<an awesome amv...i will never know how the hell koopiskeva got those effects...it's just like........that should be a commercial or preview or something. it's just like vic bond's die another day video...SO COOOOOL!!!!) agghh aghh agghghghghahghagah (<::randomly starts foaming at the mouth::)

The opening and any other song in the show that had singing in it was done by Maaya Sakamoto, she also did the openings for Escaflowne and a LOT like i mean INSANE amounts of music for other anime, and also does her own j-pop stuff too. I'd tell u the other shows she did music for but its such a long list o.O

yea i liked that song to, exspecialy how they changed the dynamics near teh middle of the sing ... i belive it starts when she statrs saying "i have only jsut atrated living my life" and continues for a little while.

And Eva wiped off every ones good books? Anime's lime light days amy be a fad ... but eva will always remain a classic, no matter what.

unfortunatly evas fan base has an excessivly large sector that trancends typical fandom to the level of obssesion and beyond. thanks to these people and their "eva is the best because it is ... and stuff" attitude many peopls first anime experiences are rurined because they don't understand eva right away and belive any good anime has to be a head fuck anime ... other wise it's point less, or for similar stupid reasons. Ok, i wsa goign somewhere with this last paragraph but i fucked it up somewhere ... theres a meaning burried somewhere in there and i cna't remember what it was ... shit.

well, rahxephon's a smaller series than eva (makes buying a lot cheaper)...u guys got me into it right when someone said that ayato was a painter (it was just so..original!)
