Just because the forum is for open discussion, that doesn't mean anyone has to tell personal things on the forum. Someone stated his opinion and you had a problem with it. That's fine, the two of you differ. But to say that because he doesn't like an anime he must have horrible taste in anime is an attack. He didn't attack the anime. The only attack here was you attacking him for having an opinion different from yours and one that you think should be explained before you'll back down and allow him to have his own mind. I know what forums are for, and I know what forum ettiquete is. Do you?
all i wanted to know was what he found wrong abt it! call me drunk or high, but flaming is just blatant cursing out and lashing at someone. i mentioned that i wanted to, but i never commited the deed. its a fair request to ask why.
Yeah, I don't have any problem with you asking why. My problem is that you said, "If you weren't new here I wouldn't have been able to keep from flaming you for having an opinion different from mine." That isn't the same as saying, "I like that anime. Why don't you like it?" The difference is how you asked, not the fact that you wanted to know why his opinion was different from you.

And now you're attacking again. You think I don't value anything or feel strongly about anything? Why? Because I don't care to explain my personal feelings in regards to certain anime genres? That doesn't mean I don't have them, just that it's no one's business by my own. The only reason I even named anime I disliked is because the thread is for naming your "least favorite anime". It isn't for "say you don't like something and you better have a hardcore reason if you don't want attacked for your opinon."
It's enough that I don't like this. I don't have to explain why, and if I *did* explain why, I'd be insulting anime people like by pointing out things I see as inherent flaws. I don't want to insult something a person likes. My saying I dislike an anime doesn't insult anyone - it just marks me as someone who has a different opinion. And whether I feel strongly about my opinion or not, I don't have to justify my feelings to you or anyone - they only concern myself. And I only give them to contribute to the thread. I'm adding to the list of anime people don't like. No where in this thread did it say you had to give reasons why you dislike anime, it just asked which ones you dislike.
