The Star Wars prequels (if you want to call that shit prequels) was an example of one of the worst waste of film in history.

I still don't think of Vincent as a true villian ... just confused and misguided. (i saw the movie once, and it was a while ag, so don't bite my head off) Anyways the reason there couldn't be as much tension between Sipke and Vincent, is because spike and vicious were comerads in the war, they worked together in the red dragon for years ... they were pretty much brothers. Vincent was just a random guy who showed up with some nanomachiens.Kazutaka wrote: I do believe that Vicious was (still is) one of the best villians. Vincent was good but ..... there was just so much more mystery and tension between Spike and Vicious, I dont think that Vincent could get to that level.

AAH! I'M BLIND!
Actually, I will admit that, though I don't like them as Star Wars prequels, I can handle them as long as I think of them kinda like glorified fan fics of the Star Wars series. Like--someone was intrigued by the history of Obiwan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker and made a low budget film about their views as to what they were like prior to the actual Star Wars trilogy. And yes, they're low-budget. It's just that the horrid acting distracts from the low-budget special effects. Kinda like how it was for the originals, actually, only the good acting distracted us from the backdrops...

Okay, to whomever said Vincent reminded him of Vicious: Vincent was meant to be essentially the same person as Spike, just a bit more homicidal. Vicious, meanwhile, is Spike's total opposite. Note that this is all straight from Watanabe Shinichiro. Thus, saying that Vincent and Vicious are similar is a bit like saying that apples and oranges are essentially the same thing. Thank you for your time.

did anyone else beside me get to see this movie in the theater? This movie kicked awhole lot of ass when i saw it for the first time on my computer.
But i have to say the theater presentation isaw of it in downtown DC was a bit disappointing, maybe it was the sound system and it being an english dub. But the english version really took alot away from the movie. Still cool to see anime in the theater though.
So far the best anime i got to see in the theater was Princess Monoke by far!!!

No, I did not get to see this in the theater. I live in a very small town and only the "Greatest" hits of Hollywhore, get shown here. Only the movies that bring in the big bucks.
So, in other words if it isnt DISNEY, its not going to get shown in theaters around here. I had to drive 1 1/2 hrs to see Princess Monoke in theater (had to go to the real city).
AH... one day I will move to a real city...... one day......keeps dreaming...

I really don't remember saying that vincent and vicious were similar, thankyou. I do however remember saying that vincent reminded me of vicious. That is just me. I don't remember saying that they are based on each other in any way. You may have looked at it in a different way "Evil Urchin", but please don't twist words.Evil Urchin wrote:Thus, saying that Vincent and Vicious are similar is a bit like saying that apples and oranges are essentially the same thing.
