I'm kinda glad the anime isn't following the Trigun and Trigun Maximum mangas... Vash can be really scary in the manga o.O And something about him walking around for a book and a half with a nub for a left arm doesn't seem too TV friendly...

I am pretty sure what Vash meant by saying he will survive is that he doesnt have to kill in order to survive.

Knives "motto" was that in order to save the victim you have to kill assailant
Like the spider about to eat the butterfly? (or whatever was stuck in the web)

In essence Vash is the butterfly. All the people that tried to kill him, he survived without killing them. (except one) He survived.

(That is the only person I seen Vash kill on the dvd)(His gun cannot kill people. I think? Cause he shot Knives with it and he didnt die and he didnt kill the people in July)

The fight between Knives and Vash was kind of like (PLEASE DONT KILL ME)
Remember Kenshin vs Shishio ---> Kenshin not killing people and still survive kind of versus Shishio only the strong survive.

Thats what I think.

Vash will survive.
