C'mon lethelanime, if the Japanese dialouge really has bad acting, the worse it could be is over-acting. There's no way that the Japanese voices actors could be doing any kind of under-acting, like most english dubs. (well, used to be most dubs, but now it's just some dubs) The Japanese voices sound way too spazed up and enthusiastic to be bad. And it doesn't matter if it is bad, what we're talking about here is the fact that the Japanese dialouge is almost always better than the English dialouge. We're not talking about the script either, we're talking about the voice-acting. If a J-Pop song sounds good, what does the lyrics matter if you don't understand Japanese anyway. The lyrics are an important part, but we're talking about the way it sounds, not what it says. A major goal of anime (and any fantasy type of material really) is to escape the boundries of reality and real life. So even if the voice-actors for the Japanese dialouge don't talk like normal real-life Japanese people, it doesn't matter, because it sounds good anyways.
Don't worry, I look for deep meaning in things too, (if not VERY deep meaning) but these are my responses after my "research" of all of this.[/i]

So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

no, I said dubs are USUALLY bad, but if they are done well enough I'll take the dub over the sub any time.

I love to watch the originals, no matter where they come from. So if I watch a Japanese show, I wanna watch in its original entirety. Even if that means watching it with Subtitles. So, of course, I would rather watch an English show with its original English language. But which one I enjoy more depends on which one sounds better, which is usually the original anyways!
"Dubbing" is the re-recording of the audio of a piece of media, mainly to change the language. So even if I ever said dubs are horrible, that wouldn't apply to anything that was originally was in English. Powerpuff Girls doesn't count as being dubbed. It's English Dialogue, but not English Dubbed. There's a difference there. But then agian, the PPGs might actually sound cute in Japanese. Who knows?
