I find that most of the anime scripts I work on (I WILL SUCCEED! I WILL MAKE AN ANIME SOMEDAY!!!) are for relatively short series...at least, the one I've almost completed is. I started a new one that's still in the baby stages, and I have a longer one set aside.

How long is Trigun? 40-something isnt' it? I have them all, but I'm too lazy to look for myself.

Trigun is a standard 26 episode season.

I also wanted to say that extremely long series's like DBZ and Kenshin are rather rare, but there is in fact a new show that's also incredibly long, a little thing called Naruto that none of you have probably heard of (that's a joke). Also, another short series (or rather, OVA) that I thought of that I really like a lot is Read or Die OVA. It's a great show, and if it had been longer I think it just would have felt stretched out.

Only 26? Someone told me it was longer. Still feeling too lazy to check it out for myself. I just had to vacuum the damn office. :x I've got to see Naruto one day...I heard it was ok. No force on this Earth could get me to sit through a whole episode of DBZ though...you know...unless someone nailed me to a chair.

No, Naruto is not OK, it's awesome, one of the best new animes, so it's a must for anyone to watch it.

And DragonBall Z is not THAT bad to say stuff like that.

Aren't they making/didn't they make a longer series out of that after the OAVs?

Anime Sensei III loves DBZ. I just don't like the style much. It's not my kind of anime, therefore I'd rather not see it. It's ok for people who do. Like the Sound of Music. ::shudders::

It's 95, and I think someone I knew claimed to know of a 96th. Or maybe it was 94 and they claimed a 95th.
WAAAAH!!!! I'm so glad there's always ebay! ::hugs ebay::

Yeah i've heard the Naruto is a pretty long series, i have the first episode and its pretty interesting, i only saw the first five minutes of it, i will eventually finish it and watch the rest of the series, but i dont really like long series that go on forever because it cost wat to much to get everything and keep up with the story ... i mean look at DBZ, super long series and its still going, i think... :?

That they did. Though supposedly it has a different person as the main character or something. I dunno.... I just saw the OVA a week ago and haven't seen any of the series yet.

They change the main character after the OVA? That's weird...I've never heard of that being done before...are you sure it isn't just a followup series?
