You never know. I'm sure they're keeping an eye out for fan response...maybe if someone at WETA notices the EVA fan outrage they'll change their mind. Or not. Some people are just like that.
It's weird...call me color blind, but when I first started watching EVA I could've sworn that Rei's hair was white. It wasn't until later that I realized it was bluish.

Ok on topic, the CGs are good. And changing their names did bother me a little, but I was surprised that there wasn't a male character. Perhaps the story takes place in some other time when these three will/were the pilots of the EVA.
Maybe three female characters are more apropriate since I read somewhere that the EVAs represent Adam's three wives or whatever.

I am going to throw my two cents in
Remeber, ADV only has a budget of 100 Million, so big name actors are a no go, knowing that they hired WETA Workshop, most of it will go to special effects and scriptwriting.
People need to stop wining about what actors are going to be in the movie, I myself will wait and see the final outcome of the production before complaining. It's like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, people went in thinking it was going to be like the games, and it wasn't, therfore it got a poor rating from the fanbase.
Complaining about what is going to happen is not going to do anything unless you send your complaints and suggestions to ADV and WETA.

No offense... but her hair isn't bluish, it is pure blueryuu_hime13 wrote:You never know. I'm sure they're keeping an eye out for fan response...maybe if someone at WETA notices the EVA fan outrage they'll change their mind. Or not. Some people are just like that.

As for making her hair white, that could look pretty cool in live action, but it'd be just as unnatural to see a 14 year old girl with the hair color of Gandalf the White Wizard as it would be to see a 14 year old girl with vibrant blue hair. If we're going to change our precious Rei's hair color, might aswell make it something that would make sense to human minds untouched by the brilliance of anime, like light brown for example. Those are my feelings on it, atleast.

Methinks you need to reread the posts in this thread. We're not complaining about the actors; we can't, because no one has any idea who they're going to be. We're complaining about the characters' names.RedFusionX wrote:Remeber, ADV only has a budget of 100 Million, so big name actors are a no go, knowing that they hired WETA Workshop, most of it will go to special effects and scriptwriting.
People need to stop whining about what actors are going to be in the movie,

What about bluish-black? It's a nice color, especially if they intend to use Asian actors.
