well i don't know about that personally all the DBZ Chars look like their arms are going to pop off any second! so when that happens Hiei will most likly win! ^^ Hiei is sooo Hott! and I don't care if he's gay!

speed wise, it's pretty even imo (extremely limited knowledge on YYH)

vegeta believe it or not can NOT move at the speed of light... actually goku can move a couple times faster than the speed of light... but not in combat, he has to stop fighting altogether to use the move, so it's not helpful unless he's trying to escape from something

that dragon of darkness attack won't work too much on vegeta if this is vegeta at the peak of his power (most comparisons are)... i mean the peak of his DBZ power, i just refuse to go into DBGT until i watch the whole thing once (hopefully not more than that)

although saiyans are not flame-retardant, but most of them are able to deflect things using their ki much like other ki wielding characters of other shows, so vegeta would only need to create a ki field in front of him to protect him

vegeta's final flash btw would be more useful than his big bang attack, big bang attack is a small projectile, final flash covers a lot more ground when powered up properly

duh... what else can you do (assuming it's tournament style where you can't use items around you)

i'd count the dragon of darkness attack as a ki attack since it takes energy to create.. and vegeta obviously doesn't have a weapon, so if Hiei didn't have that, i'd say he'd be down to punches, kicks, and ki attacks as well

so power is on vegeta's side just because he is what he is and has trained hard to get there

most likely speed is on Hiei's side, although vegeta can fly and not get tired easily, it doesn't mean he's flying fast, it just means he has stamina, if Hiei could fly, i'm sure he'd be no slow-poke himself, he's not as muscular, so he wouldn't be weighted down by his muscles as much as vegeta, so Hiei would be faster

smarts is on Hiei's side obviously, vegeta's not an idiot when it comes to fighting, but he's pretty dense for being a prince

in the end vegeta would win, Hiei's speed would be not so helpful once vegeta gets him in a german rasling move!

In the Jap version Hiei is gay. I read it a long time ago but my old comp crashed so I don't have the info anymore.

Anyway Vegeta is suposed to be all powerful right? and so is Hiei right? so wouldn't it be evenly matched? I'm not an expert on either one so my view point might be off. ^^;; my sister told me that it all depends on who's writing it and who they like better. <.< but that might be wrong as well.

Hiei and Kurama are definately lovers. I don't know when it comes up in the anime if it does at all, or it may just be obvious, but they are lovers.

I was always under the impression this was one of those things deliberately left ambiguous by the creator. No set-in-stone answer about it, just how the reader/viewer chooses to interpret it.
