Unit 04 didn't have a pilot. It got blowed up in Nevada 'cause those dumbass Americans were screwing with it...

That's not entirely true. When Shinji was ordered to destroy Unit 02, he refused because he didn't want to kill the pilot inside Unit 02. In result, the dummy plug (sortof like an auto-pilot for the eva) was activated and Unit 01 tore Unit 02 to shreds. Shinji resisted to no avail. I only wonder what Kaworu was thinking during the whole ordeal, that is, if he was contious during what happened.

worst robot: I don't think that I've seen enough to see which is the most annoying robot.

worst pilot: Domoan Kashu (sp?) from G Gundam (well, my most annoying)
Before anyone else tells you, you are thinking of someone else. Kaworu was the one who controlled Unit 2. The person you are speaking of is Toji, the pilot of Unit 3.

My first regret.......I guess thats what I get for posting at 3:30 in the morning. I.....I.....

I think everyone who's ragging on Shinji for "Worst Pilot" is confusing piloting skills for annoyance factor. Shinji was a whiny little pussbucket, I won't deny that. But that doesn't make him a bad pilot. Quite the contrary, he kicked more Angel ass than anyone in the series.

My pick for worst robot: Anything from RahXephon. The show's good so far, I've seen the first 4 episodes and I like the storyline. But the mecha designs bug the hell out of me. I just can't take them seriously when they look like Wal-Mart china dolls.

My pick for worst pilot: Kaworu Nagisa of Eva. In terms of skill, he sucked Dragonballs. He was piloting Unit 02 unmanned with a perfect synch ratio, and Shinji still wiped Terminal Dogma with Unit 02. Amazing pilot my ass. More like amazingly BAD.

You forget that he didn't mean to defeat Shinji, just stall him. In the end he even says something like "Oh, I wanted you to stop unit 2".

I don't think evangelion has any bad pilots. Shinji is a natural, Asuka has alot of skill too... if I had to pick the worst pilot of evangelion, I'd choose Rei. Going kamikaze at your oponents isn't really my idea of skill... but jeah, she's not that bad either.

If I'd have to choose the worst pilot, I'd choose that pacifist guy from Gundam W.

"I don't want to hurt you! Let's not fight! ("yes! I'm piloting a machine of death(TM), but I won't use it!"). Weird guy.

And the worst robot... Hmm, lemme think. I choose Mechatama from Love Hina. It get's destroyed by a bunch of kids for crying out loud.

OK...since my earlier worst pilot votes were based more on bad character...finally found a candidate for worse based on actual poor skill--
The third pilot they pull over to Byston Well in the beginning of Aura Battler Dunbine (can't remember his name for the life of me ATM...)
Doesn't even hit the 5 ep mark before he's shot down and killed.
