Everyone,
Thank you for responding, I am grateful that so many responses have been posted in such a small time period. I also hope you continue posting remarks and thought. Several of the ideas mentioned, such as the seperate sectioning of books, instead of just Anime and Manga, are already within the current business model.
You will should also be happy to note that we will be playing AMVs upon our screens, and are making plans to distribute free dvds with purchases. So far we have been unable to reach the companies in charge of licensing the music, however we hope that the issue will be cleared up closer to opening day.
We are also currently negotiating with several title holders over the rights to distribute the footage found within the Videos, however as advertisement for the products being sold in our store, we forsee little problems. Within the next 6 months we will also be contacting the authors of videos we enjoy and would like to show, and plans for a contest to create custom videos for the purpose of advertisement are also in the drawing phase. The top prizes will most likely include free merchandise, or a strawberry cheesecake.
As a addition to the previous questions I would also like to ask, "Would you be interested in a weekly gaming session of BESM within the store for a surcharge of $5? will free pizza and sodas make you more likely to come?"
and,
"Would you be interested in the ability to buy and sell, "used" merchandise at the store, the "used" merchandise also been, borrowed in a library fashion for a annual membership fee of $39.99?"
"How about a weekly 'Movie Night?'"
Thank you again for all the responses, both past and future , and I hope this store will become not only my store, but that of the Anime community.

Wow, cam I knew you where organized ,but, wow all those ideas sound
awsome. Can I run the BESM days? cuase that would be sweet
speaking of games there are alot of collectable anime Card games
that the younger anime fans probally want-us to carry and
of course there's allways the possibilty of little workshops on GO, Language,
etc. For trying to educate as well as entertain... Also, the Movie Nights
sound sweet we'd probally have to contact certin companys about showing
their films to medium-sized audience. Also, I just though of art contests
would be awsome to see what the local talent has to offer.

btw, don't choose any AMVs to play that contain SPOILERS!!... which would include a majority of the AMVs offered here at a-m-v.org, but there are still plenty to choose from, even well known videos like Caldwell's Believe probably isn't considered a spoiler AMV... it's too hypnotic to tell ... though it probably doesn't anywayz
i also think the playing cards would be a good idea... but not everynight.... maybe like the movie night thing, only once a week, too much of anything is bad... doesn't include Anime btw
