Hmm, about good old Onizuka?

At first, he seems a very rough oaf (and indeed he does continue that image a bit through the plot) and a pervert, but gradually he cares more and more about being a teacher and helping his students. So much, in fact, that he forgets the reason he started teaching in the first place.
