Back to main topic: Well, petty much I´m wondering the same. WHY isn´t there some decent anime porn (i.e: Hentai)? Something like a erotic love story where the main charackters GET laid instaed of the comedic nosebleed or not-getting-laid-ever storytype of Ranma 1/2 and others.
I think this kind of series would rule. There are gory and violent animes, so why not stretching the spectrum in the other direction?

Oh, there's nothing legally or ethically wrong about it. It's just incredibly creepy when people get off on the non-consensual pain of others, even if those being hurt don't exist. What's the attraction? The piercing screams? The tearing flesh? The shattering innocence? Or the idea that you could push someone down, force yourself inside them, and so physically and mentally overpower them you could make them like it?

Ugh. Yeah, it's just animation. The concept is the revolting part.

Yep, and it's the same concept they've been putting in short stories in porn magazines for years. If nothing else, anime takes it away from seemingly 'real' people and forces it to remain fantasy - I'd rather the people watch that then read those supposedly true stories of domination and sexual abuse. At least with the insane tentacle anime, few people would get it confused with real life situations. I'll never forget a certain story I read about a curling iron when I was twelve or so and stumbled onto some of those magazines - I've yet to see any explicit hentai anime top that, not matter how gruesome the 'monsters' are. They just aren't real, and that makes all the difference.

I've never understood it myself. I mean, I guess I know 'why' someone might from say a psych point of view, but knowing and understanting are different things. If one assumes that the primary function of porn is for the viewer to imagine themselves in the place of the actors (this presumably why guys faces are out of the picture since it's geared mainly for guys) then it's easy to follow. Plot: lucky guy gets uh... lucky with lots of hotties. /plot. That is good enough, and a fine formula I'd say. (except why would the movies last, what an hour or so?)
Anime would follow the same general theme right? So when we get ecchi stuff where the typical type guy is fawned over by lots and lots of hotties; same deal.

So I guess where I going with this is, if it is all about inserting yourself into the scene, do THAT MANY guys really enjoy imagining doing that sort of thing to women? Being a GUY I like porn as much as anyone, but always rather prefer it when it looks like a good time is had all around.

I don't get it. I see that stuff and uhh... wilt, so to speak.

The closet thing to that I can think of would be Magical Twilight. Aside from that just plain most hentais have rape in them sooner or later even if there is normal sex.

Anyhow back to the main topic, I can understand not liking the rape aspect of hentai but... complaining about the storyline?

Sure I actually watch the "story" unfold the first time I watch a hentai but after that if I ever watch it again I just fast forward to the sex scenes. But truthfully even those I find rather boring really quick. Hence why I have no hentai DVDs. I have a few VHSs because I actually bothered to watch some of them before I started to realize I was wasting time when I could just look for good doujins of characters I actually recognize online.

I survived about half an hour of Sailor and the Seven Balls as well as a few episodes of La Blue Girl. Hentai is just... not appealing to me.

Now, go to Google (or any choice search engine), take out the filters, and set an image search loose on the word 'hentai,' THEN you'll come up with SOME decent stuff. Most of it sucks, yes, but I've found much better there than on any DVD.

It just comes down to fetishes, I suppose. I can safely say, some of what gets me aroused won't jive with you. It's a big world with LOTS of tastes, and sex is no exception. What turns you on just does not coincide with what gets a Japanese anime artist up.

1) Identify your sexual fetishes. Spend some time finding out what gets you turned on. IF you can find out EXACTLY what floats your boat (something I believe many people never do). Then...

2) Find a way, in real life, to 'vent' these fetishes. I -guarantee- you, you will not find it easy.

3) Think of the guy that likes something even more abhorring than you. Rape, children, you know, the -illegal- stuff. If YOU have it difficult, then how the Hell is he supposed to get off?

4) The answer- fantasies. Most people aren't looking to get jailed for their fetishes, so they'll take the closest thing. And since the guys that get off on tenticle rape are the ones penning most the hentai out there, well, I suppose that leaves us 'tender lovin'' guys in the dark.
