While there is some interpretation left to the last couple of minutes of the series, the last couple of episodes were released as an OVA in Japan. Too many people complained about the ending being episode 26. Well, they got their wish. Without giving any spoilers, I will say that you will not have to worry about any loose plot threads. You will definately know how, each and every person's story ends.aesling wrote:LOL! Yes, I have heard it is rather heavy on the death and destruction. I am glad there is more to it, though. For a while I thought that ep. 26 was the end and I was thinking, WTF that's IT?
And I am going to buy lots of Kleenex stock still.

Wolf's Rain is definitely an amazing anime. The music is awesome because it's done by Yoko Kanno. She also did some music for the Ghost in the Shell TV series.
Hubb is by far my favorite characer because he's always the most sane of the bunch, and even though he lacks special powers of any kind and isn't very useful in a fight, he carries his own weight as an asset to the group in many other important ways. His feelings and his relationship to Cher also deepen his character throughout the series, which is part of what makes him, in my opinion, the most complex of all the characters in the anime.
Darcia is a very close second, with his quest for paradise spurred on by the loss of Harmona and by concequence, his happiness.
The last episode of the TV series is confusing. It's my theory that the story loops from the last episode to the first.

I think this is true because we see the pack back in the city they started in through various short screenshots or clips, even though they all died in the last few episodes. That, or perhaps it's just Kiba having flashbacks before he dies as well, though that would be hard to explain, since he had never seen those images for himself.
You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.
