Its very hard to choose a favorite from such a good series over all. But... I think my absolute favorite eps are:
#5 Ballad of Fallen Angels - one of the best fight scenes with Vicious and Spike.
# 12-13 Jupiter Jazz - I became so attached to Gren, his story was so full of tragedy and betrayal. It also shed a bit more light into the story behind Vicious (a character that I really wish they would have shown more of his past etc...). The bond that formed between Faye and Gren really got to me as well.

First of all, anyone who's ever seen my sig know's my favorite session! I like jupiter jazz too. I can watch it over and over and over... you get the picture 8)someperson wrote:Sad but yes, definately an anime with a good ending. That's the only time I ever cried during an anime.
I don't like the bebop ending really. It sort of leaves ya hangin'. Whenever I watch it, I'm thinkin, "No, no. Spike's not dead, he's yet alive! That was the star of vicious that faded not spikes. That old indian was wrong i tell you! The syndacite members rushed him to a hospital and he's ok. The end."
I can't stand to see Spike go. They should ressurect him and the series.

... So, WHY are people still on the "Spike is still alive" bandwagon?
Anyway, the picks:
Session 1: Asteroid Blues
If it aint broke, don't fix it. Personally, Faye made the show less enjoyable. Ironically, this episode had Jet being involved in a bounty chase more than any other episode. I was hoping to see Spike and Jet evolve into more as co-stars than Jet as a sidekick. Either way, this was a straight up action episode. I knew the moment I heard the country music that this was going to be an awesome show.
But I think I'd get a headache from watching too much of the show in "bloody eye" perspective.
Session 20: Pierrot la Fou
A major twist from the show's trend of normal humans as enemies, but it was very enjoyable to see Spike go up against the supernatural. Mad Pierrot had a stature similar to the Penguin from Batman, only a hell of a lot sicker and crazier. Awesome.
Session 26: The Real Folk Blues, Part 2
And the real moral of the story?
"Those who live by the sword...
... get shot by those who don't."

I also read that in an interview the director had the very last scene of bebop planned out before the first episode was even done. I think that goes to show you just how important this ending was to him and should be to us. If Wanatabe knew the ending should be like that, that badly then i'm going with him b/c he made the best series ever.
See you space cowboy...
