Well that's obviously bogus. Even though I don't like the series, I can say that Vegeta has to be played by someone short. I mean, think about it. Just about everyone his age (or older) is taller than him right?Zaphod_Beeblebrox wrote:rumors have been flying 'round about actors for ages. i heard a while ago that they had Vin Diesel in mind for vegeta....reservoireddog wrote:...I also heard Jet Li was in mind for Vegeta...

Vin disel looks nothing like vegeta. I like the Jet li idea better. Anyway I just found this on the offical DBZ website on the live action movie news
Otherworld Steve-"I literally JUST got off the phone with FOX Studios in Los Angeles, CA. I asked outright about the upcoming live action Dragon Ball/Z movie.
This is exactly what I was told by my contact:
'The Dragon Ball Z movie? We don't have that. I 've got a lot of calls about that so I called around [the studio]. We won't be making that [movie].'
So there you have it, folks. That is the OFFICIAL story from FOX. I know some of you may be disappointed, but I also think it's a blessing."
So thats the end of that. One by One there going down.

Wow heres some news. It apears that Akira is not as dead as we all thought it was. When they pick stephen norrington as the director of Akira originally one thought came to my mind. They couldn't have picked a worser(not a real word but hey) director. HOW WRONG I WAS! Just recently anouce at the one of the preimers of STEAMBOY, you know the movie made by the same who did Akira and Metroplis, that Pitof(....thats it, he has no last name) will direct the live action US film. And what a resume he has Catwoman.................Eh.um......Catwoman. Oyeah he was the special effects supervisor for Messenger......Joan..of Arc....and...Al..i.en...res..u.r..r..ec..t..ion.........ummmm yeah.

Personally, if Akira is made, it has to be done by Tarantino.
I'm sorry, that movie has to have when sick and twisted (but cool ) director. I can't think of anyone else who could kill that many people in a sufficently bloody fashion.

The most expedient way to avert crisis is always by the indiscriminate extinction of anything that stands in your way.

Just found out on Anime News Network, Casshern has been picked up by Dreamworks. I keep finding more reasons to like these guys, unlike Miramax now a days.reservoireddog wrote:- CASSHERN live action movie. Release Date: Spring 2004. Budget: $5 million. Official site (with trailer!) now online.
