why does everyone seem to hate dubs?

I do both, but my cousin dislikes dubs because they will completely change wht the person is saying sometimes. That's why I do both (@ stories for the price of one!

The main reason why I wach dubbed anime is cause whenever I do, I watch in drawing (like manga and such). Just something to do when Im watching. I can better keep track of the storyline.

There are some voice actors that I can't live without (Steve J. Blum, Wendee Lee, Johhny Young Bosche, and many others).

There are some anime I prefer dubbed. Love Hina is HORRIBLE dubbed!! It seriously sounds like nails scratching on a blackboard!! But I can't watch Cowboy Bebop or Outlaw Star subbed.

I must agree, Love Hina is better subbed, if only to get rid of Keitaro;s nerdy english voice.

Screw that, it's nothing compared to Kitsune's voice. i'd like to shoot whoever deicded to make her voice sound like a freakin Southern Bell. Intresting fact is the same voice actor, babra Goodson who voice acted Kitsune also did Naota in FLCL -_-;

In my view, every otaku is the same. No one is above another. we all share a common intrest and stupid squablling like "omg u watch dbz that suxors compared to FMA!!!!111". A person wo watched DBZ is the same anime fan as someone who watches let's say people who download from bitorrent. I'm tired of being judged by the anime I watch cause it's not "otaku" enough.

While I must admit, I do prefer the texan version of the Osaka accent (like in Abenobashi), how else do you propose to show her accent?

And of course, FLCL has the perfect dub.

serious? i swore that almost creeped me out the first time i saw it.

Not sure...but it just doesn't sound right for the character. They might of been trying to get close to the accent but it just makes me cringe whenever Kitsune talks.

Yes, FLCL is a great dub. I think they nailed the characters in such a way that it made bad sound good. Cause the VA isn't realy special and in any normal anime, it would of sucked. But because that style worked with FLCL, it was good. That's how I saw it.
