It got old for me after Cell's fucking body was blown apart and melted into a million pieces and then OMFG he can regenerate his blown off head!

That and that it seemed with every major emey after Freeza they began literally recycling the exact same lines and moments, just with different characters in the scene.

Plus eh, I just overall lost interests in it. Anime with a solid plot, alot of character focus, drama, and insanity is for me. I'm not too much on the million episodes of continuous punches, kicks, and enegry blasts, like I once was.

But I mean if people still like it, that's completely cool with me. The people that get on my nerves are the people who constantly bitch about the people who like DBZ and say they're all retarded n00bs who're still in middle school (or something similar).

DBZ got old around the 3rd time that Goku showed up to save the day after the rest of the gang had trained and trained to defeat the villain.

I think db was great, dbz is eh, well yeah we all know power up for 5 episodes then fight for another 20.
DB had actual "fighting" all the old tourny sagas consisted of Tien, Goku, Picollo, Roshi, Krillin and Yamcha they used their fists and feet they didnt spend 40 episodes shooting ki from their mouths or hands or feet to blow up the bad guy who could either 1. Deflect it really easily 2. Absorb the shit or 3. Not give a shit about how much power they put behind it because they can regenerate with ease.
It got a bit much after a while so I went back to db and realised it has fighting in it not ki shot after ki shot, ill admit that the sayjin saga was also good solid fighting and the ki wasnt over the top... yet.

The Saiyans and Namek saga were the best, the saiyans made for good action like when nappa was messing with the army and it hit the news and everything. Namek was was good because it was a good space adventure which ended in goku getting the saiyan gold(no pun intended)

DBZ started geting old when you realised that it would be another 5 eppisodes before they shut the hell up and started their repetitive fighting. Well, its better than yugioh at least.

Yea, they never actually shut up, and unlike them sayans, they always have unrealistic hair boners

Why are we talking about this? What's "old"? Is "old" bad? Is "old" oldschool?

DBZ is just DBZ. You can generally get the premise of the show pretty quickly; after that, it's up to you whether you want to keep watching that.

Myself, I got tired after the Namek saga, but until then I followed with interest.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I was under the impression that most people here hated DBZ, for me I think this is what gets most people into anime, so I don't think it will ever get old, and when it does it will be a classic that people will watch some more. I don't really care for it, because I have mostly heared that the series is plotless fighting. All I have seen is the Buu saga on CN and the end of the Cell Saga which my friend had on tape. I also saw the brolly movie, I think movie 7 or 8, and the movie where it shows how goku gets to earth. With that, there are intresting parts, and stratagies, but DBZ never appealed to me and I always thought that it was really something for those who were just getting into it.

Dragon Ball, does intrest me slightly due to the fantatical aspects, which is what I really enjoy. DBZ and DBGT are two spacy, and the movie to exagerated, and besides what is the point in killing someone you can bring back? Althought that proabably happened in DB to, but still all said and done, I thought beleive from what I have seen of it that it is plotless fighting, but it will never get old because it is the reason people enter into anime most of the time.
I SACRIFICE!

judging by my name, obviously dbz was one of my favorites. if you dont watch it for a long time, then watch an episode you can easily get back into it. ill admit, dragonball gt was a bit of a let down, but it was ok.

dbz got me back into anime. since then ive moved on to other animes like, neo genesis evangelion, yu yu hakusho, GANTZ, cowboy bebop, rah xephon, getbackers, and full metal alchemist.

as far as the new game sagas, im sure they will make sagas 2 and 3, improving on them as they come out. look how long the series has been out and it continues to generate millions of dollars all over the world. thats gotta tell you something.
