opinions on naruto comming to america?

No it's not official, this is just more rumors. It has been told that the person playing Naruto is a relative newcomer, of which Brianne Siddall (AKA, Ian Hawk) isn't, as she has played Jim Hawking in Outlaw Star. Now it's possible she has the role, but there's still nothing official.

I've never seen Naruto, but I'm becoming more curious about it all the time. Since I'm lazy and don't feel like hunting for hundreds of fansub episodes (which shouldn't be circulating now anyway), I think I'll check it out when it comes on TV. And who knows? If the dub catches my interest, I might even buy the DVDs - and you'll have another Naruto fan right here.

No, it's official. If you watch CN closely, you'll hear Naruto's voice in the commercial that talks about new shows on CN this fall. You'll only hear it if it's the extended commercial though. Naruto says "What is this?".

Yes, she did do Jim Hawking. She also did Mithos in the video game Tales of Symphonia.

Not impressed at all..

I don't like the fact they changed the voice for Kakashi from Steve Blum to Dave Wittenberg. The very first listing they had for a voice actor for Naruto was Steve Blum for Kakashi's voice, then all the sudden they change it to Dave Wittenberg. That really pisses me off!!!

I can't really make out any "Naruto" Character voices from those samples. Although I heard Colleen O'Shaughnessey is extremely talented. I can't wait for the dub.

There is no way in hell you can consider that one second clip of Naruto's voice an official announcment when the name of the actor is never mentioned. Besides, as you can see there has been an official annoucment and Brianne Siddall is not Naruto.
