Your thoughts on DUB 'english'

If anybody needs me,I'll be beating the crap out of the tv how the 4kids people took tokyo mew mew-show for the planet,and turned it into Mew mew Power-show for the love lost.They cut out so much and then put back in some crap to make up for it which makes it suck even more........I watch it anyway,it does still prove to be entertaining

That's the quote that should end it all. Yes dubs can be great and yes dubs can suck, but having a choice is the best option. I love my Sailor Moon movies boxset. I get both the uncut Japanese version and I get the uncut English version with the original music. Ok that defeats the purpose but having both versions on a DVD makes everyone happy.

Actually I have.To tell you the truth I actually thought it was supposed to go that way until I went there and so I was sooooo sadly mistaken.

Dubs are official, subs are not... I would put more stock in what the dub says that what a sub made by a fan says. Subs aren't always right, and I'm sure dubs aren't always right either. And America get's plenty of uncut dubs... if you look for them on unedited DVD's.

This is from the Hong Kong bootleg sub - aka FANSUB - of The Fellowship of the Ring. If this isn't proof-positive that subbers aren't perfect, I don't know what is.
