why is dragon ballz so popular?

and I was beginning to think this site shuned those who liked DBZ

Well some scenes in it are so cool they get replayed during battle and... well that may not be the best thing of them all.

It's easy to obtain, violence, ect. You just got to like dbz at first, but it gets old pretty quick. >_> I prefer others more-so.

I think the reason is that it is always on the TV and future anime fans see it and want more and more of it and after they watch all of the series they start watchinf another animes.Ohter reason may be the fighting, in my opinion it's fun to watch the way that they are fighting (but there is one condition you must have at least 10 epizodes because in3/4 of them they are only screaming "A-a-a-a-a-a" and becoming more yellow).

I said DBZ not Dragon Ball. I love Dragon Ball since it was created with Akira's own will. The "Z" makes me think of Akira with shackles on.
