And it ticks me off when they do.....cuz i can't attack without risking my monsters.....

My favorite cards from the Anime are Slifer, Shinning Dragon and Dark Magician.

oi... please don't call it Slifer; it's name is Osiris. These are the REAL names of the cards:

Winged God - Dragon of Ra

Giant God - Soldier of the Obelisk

Saint Dragon - God of Osiris

These are the names Kazuki Takahashi gave to them, that's what they should be called. WHY 4Kids felt the need to call Osiris Slifer, I'll never know; ten-year-olds don't know who Osiris is, but they know who Ra is, and they're both GOOD gods... SET was the evil one.

I already know that but I just call it Slifer cuz I think ppl here know it as Slifer the Sky Dragon (yeah I know I also doesnt like the english names 4Kids gave to the cards and also to the characters), but if you want me use the japanes names it's ok, I will next time, I just hope ppl know about what I am talking about.

Eh, it's okay. I just can't stand some of the names in the cards; they changed so much about it I can't believe it: Angel became "Fairy," Demon became "Fiend" (okay, that isn't so bad considering a fiend IS a type of demon); I can understand Black Magician becoming Dark Magician, but Black Hole to DARK Hole... wtf; Thunderbolt changed to Raigeki, Vase of Greed to Pot of Greed, Drug Fever to Bad Reaction to Simochi, Devil Franken to Cyber-Stein, Emerald Dragon to Luster Dragon #1, Sacrifice and Thousand Eyes Sacrifice to Relinqushed and Thousand Eyes Restrict, Black Dust Virus to Ekibyo Drakmord, and about 100 others. Now, I can understand them wanting to get rid of any "evil" symbols, although I think there are way too many uber-christians and born-again-christian mothers out there who bitch over Dark Magician Girl having a "witch's symbol"... it's a Star of David you backwater twit... but what I love is Injection Angel Lilly (known as Injection Fairy Lilly in America) had her crosses - American Red Crosses mind you, because she's a nurse - changed to hearts... HEARTS! What damaged religious zealot would think of the symbol adorning nearly EVERY hospital in America as the Cross of Christ? And my biggest hate... Fairy King TRUESDALE!? Okay, it was King of the Fairies, I'll give you that, but it's name was OBERON, as in the Shakespearean character! Give me one good reason, ONE why that HAD to be changed because of religious/violence/etc. reasons; there are none, and death to Upper Deck for making the greatest playwright in history spin in his grave for that one...

Oh well, people are people, and I still call the cards by their real names, even if it does confuse the hell out of the people I play.
