Mister dwchang, i thought you were a refined person, well versed in knowledge of all anime..shows what i know  the avatar is Chii from chobits (by clamp), if you get the chance watch it, hours of humour especialy episode 4
Forgot to mention that I probably won't enjoy Chobits. I know some people will flame me, but "cute" anime (and in particular Clamp things) don't generally interest me. I watch the first half of CCS and I have never been in that much pain from the cute-ness. I think the "cutest" anime that I like is "Ah! My Goddess" and in all honesty, it's not that cute. I could say that Kare Kano is "cute," but not really. I enjoy it more for it's serious side.

Don't get me wrong, I like slapstick, but not to the degree the "cute" animes generally have. Hell, I can't even take more than watching one episode of Excel Saga at a time. It's a good show, but I have a threshold for these things. I generally like more serious and epic animes.

i beg your pardon sensei <bows low> i was merley joking, but i do sujest watching a couple of episodes of Chobits, its mildly amusing. As to knowing whats new, well i find it hard to keep up anyway, im a multimedia and photography student, so im very poor and have little time, damn it, i havent heard of half the anime you plan to watch...but thats mainly due to living in such a dreary place <Bradford, my god, did i just admit living there?> which recieves little anime, england trully is a dismal place.

A word from the wise, avoid england at all costs, not only does it suck, it blows to...at the same time

Sensei? Interesting...no I know you were joking, but quite a few people have PMed me about things like I'm some guru when in fact I'm far from it :). I figured I'd explain things since it'll help.

I have a few episodes of Chobits somewhere, but well...got a lot of other anime I'd much rather watch. :). I'd like to suggest the anime that I'm planning on watching, but I'm only going by suggestions and reviews. Out of the things I've seen, I loved Escaflowne, Evangelion, Kenshin (only what follows the manga), Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing (a bit too political for some), AMG, Initial D, Lodoss and Kare Kano. This is pretty much the anime I own and enjoyed quite a bit. The rest is meh IMHO.

Then again, you've been posting and seen most of mine, so you probably already knew I loved those shows :).

I'm not sure how regions go in England, but if you can play Region 1 (and it isn't illegal import wise), you could just by region 1 DVDs (at fairly good prices).

England sucks and blows? Hmm...maybe I should hook up with this gal :-P. I did read that and was reminded of Spaceballs "...she's gone from suck to blow." I do intend to visit England one day though at least for your accents :).

heres a very sad truth about england, it is illegal to sell region 1 dvd's, therefor it is also illegal to buy them, however, we have got one thing over america, were the same region as japan, so we can import from them..shame its rare that we get subs, if you do visit england, gho to either aye again convention (sometime in september i think, or minicom (cant remember when that is) those are the main two convention in england, However in october is the leeds film festival, last time there was an anime day 12 hours of pure anime (it was great, showed X, Patlabor, Metropolis, Escaflowne and the first ever public showing of Millenium Actress), these are the only three event that i know about. Beside if you want a accent to take the piss out of, visit wales, they just crack me up, try talking about the weather to a farmer and see how far you get (just dont mention the sheep!!!!!, this is a public health warning)
