Ever seen The Stand? 6 hours.Pierrot Le Fou wrote:Anyway, I've never heard of a four hour movie before, and IMHO four
hours is way too long.

Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

you know, if they did put the location is San Fransisco and keep the japanese names, i can see them being like, "Nerv HQ is located beneith china town 3" or some crap like that. leave the location in japan. nobody cares where it happens as long as the movie is good. just as nobody cares about the ethnicity of the hero as long as he saves the world, and the movie is good!! granted at the end of the saga almost all of humanity basically turns to water so some people will be upset but Evangelion was about the characters so I didn't mind too much once i figured out what happened.
LotR showed that people are willing to go to a three hour movie and be left at a cliff hanger so to speak. goodness knows i had to calm a few friends down afterwords so as long as they break it up im ok with it. Sorry to bring in Star wars on this but in the original star wars George lucas purposefully made the movie so there was an ending of sorts but there could be sequels. That is way nicer than some animes i could name have done, 3X3 Eyes being a prime example).
basically im for it as long as they basically have the Stan Lee of Eva help them out or someone like him like they did with the movie Spiderman.

Unfortunately, Hideaki Anno helping out on a live action Eva is veerryy unlikely. The mans had enough Eva for one lifetime... and hes busy with his own projects...Antipus wrote:basically im for it as long as they basically have the Stan Lee of Eva help them out or someone like him like they did with the movie Spiderman.

Ok, but Rei isn't a clone of Yui. Hair color and eye color are genetic, let's not forget that.Pierrot Le Fou wrote:When I said a relationship between Rei and Shinji would be freudian, I was referring to the fact that Rei is a clone of Shinji's mother. "Mrs Robinson" was the character in the movie "The Graduate" who seduced a college student dating her daughter.
