well, from talking to the owner of the site, he said that all of his information comes from an uncle who works for FOX... all the info he got from FOX themselves, and if you look on his site, he has a section for rumors... He told me that Hugh Jackman being fired was mainly due to schedueling difficulties, and Jackman and Fox both agreed it would be better not to use him... he had other movies to work on (not sure what)
The cast dosen't seem like a "fantasy" cast.... i would never really pick Orland Bloom for Tien, and most people don't know who Sam Wheeler is..... On top of that, I can't belive they picked Jason Bateman.... The only person i see who could be part of the "Fantasy" cast is Goldberg...
The storyline does suck, but they wanted it different then Dragonball and DBZ... for the main reason: would you pay to see a live action movie of an exact replicate of DBZ? Some (like me) would, but a lot wouldn't... from what he said, a lot of people, through their kids and others, have realized what most of here at the forums say: DBZ is not the greatest.... and he said that's what is worrying them... the main reason they were at first skeptical on even making it... his uncle said that they knew that they needed a diff. storyline, a good cast, and good speical effects for us to wanna go... would you go see it if they didn't make a good Kamehameha wave or have someone that can act out goku?? This is basically a matter of getting us to see it, and make money off of all us DBZ fans, while making into an action movie that non-dbz fans will think of seeing...
