Because of me

Rei didn't necessarily have to be "grown" as a test tube baby. Using whatever remains they had of Yui, LCL or whatever, it's feasible that she was initially crafted in the form of a 4 or 5 year old girl.
The Eva Monkey wrote:That is merely what we are told, and The Program Booklet glossary (Gainax approved) states her creation is after Yui's death.
Unfortunately for the Red Cross Book, Ritsuko states that the pilots all have to be 14. This is corroborated by the fact that ALL pilot candidates are in the same grade level.

It's not a loose translation, that's what it means. A person returning home, says "Tadaima".
It's like translating "hello" as "greetings". Same use, but completely different levels of definability.

It was to cause Third Impact. Gendo being reunited with Yui was part of that, yes, but only a very small part.
The Eva Monkey wrote: It is accepted that Rei contains the soul of Lilith and Kaworu contains the soul of Adam, that is the reason why Rei returned to lilith, and why Kaworu wanted to return to Adam.
Actually, Kaworu wanted to return to Adam because that was the imperative of ALL the Angels, regardless of whether or not they had Adam's soul
The Eva Monkey wrote:Kaworu contains adam's soul, as stated in the director's cut of episode 24
Yeah... I have a small problem with the DC scenes in 24'. Specifically, they create such tremendous plot gaps and contradictions that the whole episode pretty much stops making sense. The fact that SEELE gained three extra members for a day would have been fine to chalk up to animation error if not for the fact that the last 3 monoliths actually had "SEELE 13" through "SEELE 15" written on them in big glowy red letters... Other issues, such as Kaworu mistaking Lillith for Adam
even after SEELE told him that Adam was in Gendo, are completely unforgivable. And Rei's line "What did he mean when he said he was the same as me?" pretty much puts a nerf on the whole "We both have the souls of Angels trapped in the bodies of humans" bit that was added to Rei and Kaworu's sole conversation.
Goddamn Director's Cuts...
The Eva Monkey wrote:First of all keep in mind that Rei was most likely an unintended by-product of the failed salvage of Yui Ikari. She later became a tool of Gendo Ikari.
So I suppose the line "This is the day for which you were created, Rei" can be completely ignored?
The Eva Monkey wrote:it is also my belief that she was used to trigger Naoko into the rage that caused Rei's death, as well as Naoko's. The scene seems very scripted to me, and it makes sense as Naoko was at the time trying to dig up the dirt so to speak, and that it was very convenient for her to be disposed of at that point. That is my own theory, and simply something I suggest you ponder.
Actually, that's a very cool theory, even though Fuyutsuki says something to Yui about how easy it is for SEELE to make people "disappear"...

Actually, the vast majority of OCA1a cases ("traditional" albinism) have blue or gray eyes, not pink or red

Ummm... am I the only person who can tell a dark-haired Rei apart from a Yui? Seriously...

The Men in Black. Anno himself explicitly stated in an interview that Kaji was killed by a random guy in a suit who worked for NERV's intelligence division. Maybe it was those bastards who took Misato's gun and badge.
