I think that's it's in the series too (I think it's mentioned somewhere when they're talking about how Clow was a sorcerer or somethin'). But anyways, the series has nothing to do with playing a card game. Thinking that it has something to do with with sort of card game (although a card game was made based on the show i believe) is kind of like thinking that Bubblegum Crisis actually involves bubblegum.

 Amusing

Anywasy, yes I agree, I was trying to help clear up what the cards actually are.

Anyways, sleep calls.

In a similar vein, the real Yu-Gi-Oh card game has nothing to do with anything called the "Shadow Realm" and the monsters don't come out of the cards when you make a summon.

This is not so bad as making the Dark Magician Girl so rare though.

lol. well yes, of course it has nothing to do with the "shadow realm," as I don't think it would be as popular if kids got killed if they lost . . .

But look at it a little bit deeper, i guess i could see how one could make the mistake of thinking Card Capture Sakura has something to do with a card game (especially with Yu-Gi-Oh, and that other show that's just getting over here and is showing on Cartoon Network). So I think I'll throw a review of Card Captor Sakura up this week for one of my weekly reviews.

And as to the rarity of cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh CCG, well, that's one of the biggest problems with the game. The way the rarity is done is simply to drive up the amount of sales.

If in saying "Cardcaptors" you mean the English dub version, then yes. It's very nauseating.
