I'm looking forward to the Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle anime. Does anyone else know anything about the show? I haven't read this entire thread yet. :?

I posted this in page 3, but I'll post it again. This seems to be the character designs that's going to be in the anime.

I saw those pictures of Syaoran and Sakura... pretty cool. Not exactly like the unique style of the manga, but it's not bad. :)

Having never read the manga (since I almost never read any manga), I cannot speak from the standpoint of longtime fans of the series. All I know is what I have watched, and what I have watched of this show (all 3 episodes that are subbed), I like. I think the fanservice level is just right, the comedy is good, the characters are cute and likeable. It's not a masterpiece of animation, but it does it's job of entertaining well enough.

As far as i know, the manga isn't around long enough for anyone to be concidered longtime fans...(either that or the benelux is way behind on the rest of the world... i only read 2 of the manga... It's out to the 4th now - the 5th will be released 29-01-2005
(from http://www.archonia.com/index.php?page= ... put=negima - it's a Belgium manga store i usually order these things)

I saw the subs too... it's pretty cool... Want me to make a 'fanservice AMV' :P?

::dies of happiness::

Not like the rougher style used in the manga (which I liked), but good regardless...I can't wait!

As soon as anyone has a definite release date, could they post it up? I can't remember if one was mentioned earlier, but I'd like to write it down somewhere...so I can scare my friends with the information when the show finally airs. :)

Nothing specific yet, but it will be sometime in April. CLAMP's site, as well as Shonen Magazine's site (the magazine publishing the manga) are claiming "an undetermined date in April." There's nothing on NHK's website that I could find, but I'll freely admit my Japanese skills aren't great. No word on the cast, and only a few of the involved crew (Director, Screenplay, Character Designer, OP/ED Performers). We'll probably know more next time CLAMP updates their site, Feb. 1 if the usual pattern of updates on the 1st and 16th of every month holds.

No date has been announced for the xxxHolic movie, either. That's currently even more vague, being "an undertermined date in 2005" on CLAMP's site. Nothing at all's been posted on Production I.G.'s site or Shochiku's, either English or Japanese. There's no word even on any of the cast or crew.

OH HELL YEAH! Here's the cast list for Tsubasa! :P

Source: Tsubasa - Chronical

Syaoran (Irino Miyu)
Sakura (Yui Makino)
Kurogane (Tetsu Inada)
Faye (Daisuke Namikawa)
Mokona (Mika Kikuchi)

Also from what I got from the posters in AnimeOnDVD, the music will be done by Yuki Kajiura. And here's a copied image I found in AnimeOnDVD of what Faye and Kurogane might look like.

Man, that's one hell of an update. :D

That's certainly interesting. This must have gone up last night. It's not even up on CLAMP's site yet. ^_^

I don't recognize any of the voices, and looking them up on ANN's Encyclopedia didn't pull up almost anything I've seen the cast in, and Sakura's voice seems to be a complete newcomer, unless it's a pseudonym. I wonder how similar she'll sound to the old Sakura.

And (*grumble*) still no word on an official first broadcast date yet. We'll probably find out sometime in late February or early March.
