i have o.c.d. (obsessive compulsive disorder) over anime and other stuff. i think its becouse he has forgotten his first true love, seeing how he will never really have her, this has left him in a depression and now he is trying to reflect his old love on his new internet girlfriend. but his new girlfriend will never match up to his image of his first love.... so sad!
