Why thank you. Actually I am QUITE dangerous. But not as dangerous as Hiei. I leave that to him. Freaking fire apparition would cut off his own arm to kill his opponent.

The things he'll do to win. Oof, crazy.

I saw a few clips from AMVs. And it is just SOOO cool. You have to see it. He uses the Dragon of the darkness flame and he looks so HOT.

First...What is this thread doing in this section? No one is talking about specific episodes. It should have been moved to General Anime months ago.

Second...Don't bash the yaoi fangirls, at least the ones who fancy Kurama and Hiei. There's a reason the creator didn't give Kurama a female 'interest', the same reason Kuwabara's friends mistook Kurama for Kuwa's girlfriend toward the end of the anime. Kurama is ambiguous, intentionally so. Hiei has Mukuro for those who don't want to see any yaoi, but Kurama has no one - he lost his only possible love interest the day he met Hiei for the first time (in the 'Two Shots' manga excerpt). And any Phillipine fans who bring up Kurama and Botan really need to watch the anime in Japanese. >.<;; They only made Kurama fancy Botan in the Phillipine dub - it is *not* canon.

As for Botan being paired up, most put her with Koenma. I think the ova where Yusuke dreams Kurama and Hiei are his bosses has Botan as Yusuke's wife (and the longer movie does hint at a possible pairing between Yusuke and Botan). Keiko's existence, and Yusuke's proposing to her, sort of rule out a possible Yusuke/Botan pairing. So we come back to Koenma. And since they're both 'non-humans' living in the Reikai, it's natural for Koenma and Botan to be paired.

The strangest pairing I've seen comes from the Hiei/Botan fans. He barely tolerates her, and she's comically terrified of him. It would be one very funny pairing, but has no chance at all if you stick to the anime characterizations.

The love interest wouldn't be Koronue, by any chance? If so, WTF?? Anyways, I absolutely agree with the fact that it would be next to impossible for Yusuke and Botan to be together, with the existence of Keiko. Kuwabara has Yukina, as I have mentioned SO many times before.

And it's possible that Botan would end up with Koenma. I mean, who else would put up with him? And who else can take Botan? Except them, who have been colleagues for x number of years...centuries?

Hiei is with Mukuro? There is a mention that she confesses her feelings for him after she has her right-hand man to pummel him. But does he like her in return? It looks like the only person or girl for that matter who can make him react is his younger twin sister, Yukina.

Who IS Mukuro anyways? I know she's a Makai lord, but what else? Why Hiei?

No! ^_^;; No. Youko Kurama may have been in love with Kuronue, but I meant Kurama after he started living in the human world. It was a girl he went to school with named Maya - she was in love with him, one of his fangirls, but not as annoying as the rest (she reminds me of Keiko). Then a demon showed up (hello hiei ;p) and Kurama drugged Maya so she'd forget she ever loved him (you never see her again). Kurama then took a wounded Hiei home and put him in his bed.

That's how they met, and half the reason so many fangirls figure it's a canon pairing. No one else in the anime ends up in the other person's bed two hours after they meet.

Mukuro isn't really with Hiei, not according to the anime. She treats him the way Shizuru treats Kuwabara - like an older sister or a mother. She doesn't confess her feelings for him - she tells him her life story. Hiei is actually asleep the first time she tells him, so she's talking to his jagan. The only reason she told him is because she'd just gotten done reading his mind (he was unconscious and she wanted to know why he was acting suicidal - so she read every thought in his mind, his entire history). For violating his privacy like that, she bares herself and all the pain she's gone through. After that she mostly teases him - sort of like Kurama and Yusuke tease him. They never say a word about love or sexual attraction. Hiei feels comfortable around her because she knows everything about him, and she feels sorry for him and wants to see him in a calmer sort of life. She's a lord, yes, but after the tournament she doesn't have Hiei doing anything difficult. You can tell he's bored and amused that she made all that talk about needing his strength, then she has him doing whatever he wants with her protection. They have a good relationship, but it isn't at all romantic.

I say she's Hiei's love interest only because she's the one female character (who isn't related to him) that he tolerates (I think he likes her the same way he does Yusuke - no chemistry, just admiration, some annoyance when he's being teased, and loyalty).

Mukuro isn't anyone - she doesn't have a past with Hiei. They don't say why she chose Hiei. Want my opinion? She knew Raizen was picking Yusuke. And she definitely knew Yomi was picking Kurama (she was enemies with Yomi, and knew Yomi had a past with Youko Kurama). I think she picked Hiei because he was the third member of their team - friend to Yusuke and Kurama. By picking him, she'd be just like Yomi and Raizen - all three of them would have the three friends pitted against each other. Once she got to know Hiei (reading his mind while he slept), he became a real person to her. Before that, he was just a name. She *did* have something to make him work for her, but I don't want to go into that spoiler. >.>

If you want to read the 'Two Shots' manga, they have translations up online. It's an official excerpt because it doesn't fit into the actual manga (takes place a year before Yusuke's story begins, a flashback). The actual story starts with a subtitled "The story of how they met", so it's all about Kurama and Hiei. It's worth reading just to see Kurama with a short hair, and Hiei whispering Yukina's name while he sleeps. They're very cute.

The "Two Shots" story is actually printed in volume 7 of the manga

(It FINALLY came out!)

It's officially my favorite YYH manga chapter - too bad it wasn't made into a "mini-OVA" =P
