th efirst was dbz then pokemon then digemon after i wach inuyasha i love that show now i have wach almost all the eps but im working on it ive seen #1 and #2 movies and i wont to see #3 and #4.they say ind #4 inuyasha disides on kagome or kikyo .Brigid wrote:Well, the first anime I saw was My Neighbor Totoro when I was in first or second grade, but I fell asleep partway through. It only remained as a vague memory for nearly a decade.
Since then I heard of Pokemon, but thought it was stupid. DBZ, groudy. Sailor Moon ... AAA! Stay back! Stay baaaaaaack!
Then one sleepless night when I was in college I was channel flipping and dropped into the middle of the 13th episode of Inuyasha. Instant hook.
I started watching Inuyasha, then Yuyu Hakusho, I occassionally watched Rurouni Kenshin, then Big O (which got way too wierd after awhile).
You know, it wasn't until I started looking for Inuyasha fan sites that I learned about the word anime.
And I still think Inuyasha is the coolest show ever.

What got me started into anime was my friends. We started when we were 11. Now all of our paents know that we are into it ans trying to get them to like it. But it is hard to get them off their asses and watch it with us every once in a while. Parents are so lame at times

My first experiances with anime came in elementary school. Watching Marcoss Plus at my friends birthday parties, then hearing about Dragon ball from my very load chinese friend. My first recollection that is was something different from regular cartoons came when I saw Ninja scroll the movie one late night on Teletoon. One time while bored and randomly searching for stuff on the internet some years later while in junior high, I came across some of the Ranma manga which I love instantly. Then whith the advent of p2p programs I was able to find episodes from the Ranma 1/2 series, and the OVA and eventually Phade's Matriel Girl AMV which lead me here. I signed up at the org foruma few weeks later after finally building up the nerve after lurking for a few days. From there I learned about it all, and with Kazaa i was able to get into COwboy Bebop, trigun, and hellsing hearing all about it here. The next year I bought my first DVD it the macross plus movie, it had to be since it was the anime that really started it all off for me. I evtually found people at schooll who liked anime too and found out about Evangelion and Love Hina from there. I shuffled arounf forums here and there for a bit then eventually wound up know a lot more. My finally and largest step into the universe of anime was when i joined the Iaido club I am in there I met a friend ther who is a huge otaku and he loaned me lots of stuff. And just last month I finally joined an anime club and now I go every wednesday to watch. Now I have over 20 dvd's in my possession and I ahve seen many more series and manga than that. It has been sorta 3 and a half year progessive slide into anime which also kinda has its roots way back when i was kid.
I know it's rambling and long winded, but who I came to anime is sort of an important thing to me, now that I think about it. I could care less if you TLDR'd all of what I just wrote, it was more fun writing it than reciving praise for it.
I hope all the rest of you enjoy your anime too.

What got me into anime
Well this might be wierd for some people, but I didn't like anime through television but through the internet.
At first I was only interested in fruits basket and I didin't even know anything about other animes.
But then as I do research about Fruits Basket, I soon found other animes like Inuyasha, Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchemist, and Sister Princess and then started to get interested
and I think that's when I started to like animes
Does that explain it good enough?
coz' I'm not really good at writing stories
