Live Action Eva would be a horrible thing, however, they said they would 'base' it on Evangelion. Which means they could possibly make up a whole new movie with whole new characters, and when anime fans watch it they can be all "Hey, this is strangely familiar..."

hmm, if they stuck to the story, didnt try to be creative, and did it as a mini series... then it might turn out ok..... but it will get farked up, just like lotr, theyll add bits in, and take away the important parts.... like the characters emotions.. instead of whining all the time, asuka will become some kinda heroine, gotta show that all americans are heroes dont we?

Her ancestry was never clearly established (her mom was German, but what the hell was her father?), but German was her first language and she was still learning Japanese when she joined the show.
