But on the subject of Turn A, it is true that it did get the two compilation movies (Earth Light and Moonlight Butterfly). I guess it's popoularity is pretty high up among the other alternate universes. But still it's Western Popoularity is pretty poor, most likely due to a large lack of recognition. Since Tomino is a near unknown in the US and not akin to god as he is to Gundam fans in Japan the fact that it was his first Gundam since V Gundam probally didn't get the big comeback draw of the crowd.

Or something like that...
Actually, part of it's also the fact that Turn A, like the majority of Tomino's titles, haven't been made exactly available to Western audiences yet...in fact, as of yet, there hasn't been any announced plan for a Western release of Turn A yet (tis a shame...ah well...we're getting Zeta, so I'll be happy at least to get better quality eps of that)
But yeah...Tomino sadly doesn't have much draw over here (which is prob. why ADV also had to add *shudder* Carl Macek's name to help market Dunbine...why God? Why?)

Ah well...it'll come here in time (now if we could just bring the Tomino cycle full circle and get licensing for L-Gaim and Zambot 3)

Forgive me if some of these have been mentioned, I don't want to scroll through five pages.

There are a lot of good anime that you may see a five line review for in a magazine, and thats all the light they get.

Such as:
Dai gaurd: Office workers, saving the world!
Generator GAWL: Not the best ending ever, but still a very good show
Aura Battler Dunbine: K, so I haven't seen this yet, but I've been trying real hard cus it's so good (Saw the first epp)
Metropolis: Movie, thought it would be real popular, but then again, I was prob the only person IN THE WORLD who loved it (Every one I ask hates it).
Millennium actress: Movie, same guy who did Perfect blue...... Why isn't every one watching this again? (I'm not accusing anyone on this site, just otaku that I know)

I'll admit, these aren't my fave shows of all time, but these were good shows (Movies) that don't get enough light, and prob should.

Yes! I'm not insane!!!

Anyways...yeah, Dunbine's worth seeing the rest of (just a warning now...given that it's a Tomino series, expect an extensive body count before the dust finally settles...this winds up putting some of his massacres in Gundam to shame)

and no, you're not the only person in the world who liked Metropolis...I've talked with a couple of other people, myself included, who DID enjoy it.

Well that is very true, thus is why he is known as "Kill e'm all Tomino". I think series wise V Gundam has the biggest bodycount, somebody correct me on this?

Hmmm...I've heard V is up there (still need to watch that...damned campus firewall...ah well...at least the reviews are saying the DVD boxset has good English subs), from what I've been told his highest kill count apparently goes to Space Runaway Ideon (as I understand it, he really DID kill everyone in that one...I could be wrong though)

Hey, didn't they make Char like, a fag in V? I herd they really screwed the series up in that. Clear this up for me

You've been SEVERELY misinformed...by the time V rolls around Char's been dead for at least 60 years, Zeon has long since collapsed, and now the EF's under fire from the Zanscare Empire
