Well bottom line is simply this anime means animation it does not have to be animation from japan or animation for adults it just simply means animation. I will continue calling my purchase anime or japanimation interchangibly.

Anime is Animation (of sorts), yes. Anime is primarily from japan, there may be Anime styled Shows like PPG or what ever that have an Anime look to it, but thats still an American Cartoon with an eastern drawing style influence.

As for Anime and Japanimation, the terminology u use is up to you, i aint gonna waste my time to stop ya.

I doubt it or he would be pretty stupid they are not the same thing at all one is a directly racist statement the other is just a way of shortening the name of a country.

The term anime should be used by westerners when refering to animation created and released in Japan. If it was animated by a Japanese studio but created by westerners, it is not anime. Thundercats is an example along with GI Joe. American creators, but animated by the Japanese. I think the reason that people think some American made stuff like Teen Titans and Power Puff Girls is anime because of the popularity of anime amongst the creators and the general audience the series is aimed at. Anime is popular so let's jump on the cash cow powered bandwagon!

What if it is created by a Japanese artist and released in another country? There was an anime that was made in Japan, but released in France due to its setting. They felt it would get a better viewer percentage there. Made in Japan, concept from Japan, released in France.

Gi joe was not animated in japan thanks lets clear that up. But since you appearantley have not read any of the other post that say that anime just means animation I guess there is no point in continuing.
