Do I care if companies are churning out copies of copies and marketing crap to kids? Actually, no. Doesn't affect me a bit. I just find that 1 in 10 or 1 in 100 that's worth watching.
Does it mean that EVERY anime is crap? 'Course not. Just as one band that drives me crazy on the radio doesn't mean that all music sucks.
That said, I could care less what J. Random Flamer says, and I'd bet everyone screaming at him is giving him exactly what he wants. It's called trolling.

No offense, but I think "Sturgeon's Law" is pure 100% bull shit. I can't imagine why someone would only let themselves enjoy 10% of what is out there. There is an abundance of great minds out there giving us great stuff, and stuff that's simply tolerable. I'd say it's much closer to 10% of everything is pure crap, and %90 is tolerable or better. Keep in mind that just because you in particular didn't especailly like something doesn't mean that it is crap or worthless.
