GuessingWrong wrote:Most animes are for entertainment as far as I know. Natural for an anime to be loved by many, but overrated anime is one that gets overreactions by most of it's fans.
Best example yet: Inuyasha. Has a good storyline, but its fans make it sound like the best anime ever with perfect animation, perfect characters, perfect and 100% original complex plot, perfect/best everything.
THAT'S overrated.

Amen :!:
Same goes for Naruto sadly, i love the show, but too many fans makes it sounds like the "be all end all" ..

Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Actually I was just pissed off that I had made a nice long post and then due to computer problems it had never posted but I didn't know that it hadn't posted.

Evangelion (I can't even stand this show anymore.)
Naruto (What scares me is that this show isn't even OUT in America yet)
Inu Yasha (I even like this show and Naruto)
Ranma 1/2 (Not as bad as it used to be)
Dragon Ball Z/ GT
Yu Gi Oh (Yu Gi annoys me in all languages and formats)
Love Hina (Once again. I do like this show.)
Ah! My Goddess (The movie is a masterpiece the OAV is mediocre cutsey faire)

Anime that are hyped and for a damn good reason
Cowboy Bebop (I never get tired of watching it)
Akira (Not that its the greatest movie but it brought Japanese animation into the mainstream in America)
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away (Miyazaki is one of the world's greatest movie makers period)

And lastly anime that I think are underated
Kino's Journey
Robot Carneval (saw it once from a tape recorded off TV. No DVD yet.)
Great Teacher Onizuka
Black Heaven or Kacho Oji: Hard Rock Saves the Space (middle aged former rock star saves the world with his mad licks)
Mahoromatic
Nadia: Secret of Blue Water

welp i dont really have anything that hasn't been said but lets see.
hmm....things that have been over rated.
Pokemon - too overrated and over franchised.

i would have said Digimon but they at least had the decency to break it into 3-4 diferent stories and tweaked them to make them reconizeably different but at the same time try to keep something fresh which is coincidently the same as with Pokemon which just launches Ash into different regions and Pokemon.

Dragonball Z(not DB) though i like this show i dont put the full blame on them, they really didn't get loud until Funimation got with them.

im done now, try not to fall asleep after reading my thought
Life is but a dream.....So what happens when you wake up?
