Well, if i got the manga right (And judging from your name, you are quite the clamp lover yourself :P) the Sakura (as well as the other characters) from XXX and TRC are actually different people then the people in CCS, MKR, etc...

Well not really. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but CLAMP uses the same characters in different series. They just switch around parts. Chi just has a very small part in the first tsubasa. You know how in Card Captor Sakura the name of the cards were clow cards. Well now Sakura's the princess of a kingdom called Clow. I personally like that idea. I don't know if that answered your question or not. Sorry if I didn't.
COWBOY BEBOP
The work. Which will become a genre in itself, will be called...

I see it as less "completely different people" and more like "alternate-dimension analogues." They're not the exact same person, (and actually might meet a version of themselves in some dimension in the future) but each version shares the same basic physical characteristics. Sakura should still sound like the eternally cheerful innocent girl she is, just with the few years of age difference between her CCS-version and her TRC-version.

Not quite. TRC is the first "ressurrection" of a major character that CLAMP has done, though their art style makes many of their characters look very similar (for example, Lantis from MKR and Touya from CCS). Since TRC and xxxHolic are multi-dimensional crossovers in a major anniversary year (CLAMP's 15th anniversary was in 2004), they're both a big opportunity to revisit their older works in a completely new light. They've always done little things (having characters eat at the Duklyon Cafe, Kero reading an Angelic Layer strategy guide in CCS, etc.), but Chobits was the first time one of their series was so tightly linked to another (X and CLAMP School Detectives did have some links, but not to the extent of Chobits and Angelic Layer). TRC takes that linking and sends it to a whole new level, which I especially enjoy, given I've read almost all of the earlier work and can see most of the references.

It really is that good - however don't expect some shallow story - especially TRC is pretty deep.

Take for example Mokona Modoki. The Mokona from MKR constantly says 'PUU' *i love that critter*, jumps around a bit, can get just about anything out of the jewel in his(/her?) forehead (even a complete sleeping quarters - see the bonus book you get with the 3-in-1 version), and can even suck people inside (i won't tell anything more - dont wanna spoil it...)

Mokona Modoki is a creature (well - 2 of them) created by the wizard of Clow and the witch from XxXHolic (forgot her name and too lazy to find it) and can send people and things to each other (even through dimensions) as well as sending speech and images (can't wait till you got a webcam in Mokona style) - above that - it talks.

So these Mokona's are really different - although they appear to be the same.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but I've read that Kinya Kotani (Image) and Maaya Sakamoto will be performing the opening and ending themes, respectively (according to this site).

I was really hoping that there would be returning seiyuu from CCS, considering how I've been reading the manga with that in mind, but a change might be nice. After all, Irino Miyu did a great job in DN Angel and Spirited Away ^_^

Wow...these are all MAJOR updates.

It's too bad that the original CCS seiyuu cast won't be returning, though. Oh well. :(
