we're talking about event in history (including religious,) that would make for a good anime (or in my case, the more likely manga).

It brings more reality and a better chance to connect to the story/characters if there is stuff from reality in the anime.

Some great anime are based in the Heian and Meiji(?) eras! Some even based on real people! Saiyuki is based on Xi You Gi, an old chinese legend, so why can't we base our idea's in other historical/religious facts, instead of DBZ meets [place random anime here].

History merely has to do with the ideas we're running with right now
