First I'd like to say that I absolutely love your banner! It's great!

Second, I most definetly agree with your view point.

It doesn't matter whether Picasso or the kindergarter down the street painted the picture; if you don't understand what the meaning of the art is, it's worthless to yourself phycologically (sort of speaking). (Now if you're trying to sell the art, it's a whole different story, and that would cancel out the whole meaning of what I'm trying to say, which I'm not quite sure where this is going...) It doesn't matter if Anno read a phcology book after episode 16. Or he was depressed, and had suicide in mind. The point is that the series was made, and was either tagged as a "Work of Art" or a "Series Flunkie" (or whatever else you might want to tag it) It all depends on your perspective on things.

......blah-ness that was almost useles, maybe,...probably. Oh Well

It may be the worst show or the best show ever, but if left such impact on anime community. You can’t deny that.
