Eh, I'm going to mess this up. ^_^;; She has to get to him (in a mock race - the finish line) before the necklace stops swinging.

Well you're right, you messed it up.

She has to get to him is because he's standing at the finish line (as most timers do so they can see exactly when people cross the line). They are using her pendant as a stopwatch because, when swung like a pendulum, each swing takes exactly 1 second.

Anyone else? Their bet has very specific conditions.
